N.5.
Mr. Rinecker furnishes detailed Returns showing receipts and Disbursements made here and through the Colonial Agent, and a statement shewing Receipts and Expenditure of the Colony for the past seven years.
From these documents, which, as observed by the Colonial Treasurer, are particularly interesting, it will appear to shew, what I have of late frequently reported, the very satisfactory condition of the finances of this Colony.
I propose to enter into more accurate detail of our financial position in transmitting the Blue Book for 1855, which is now in course of preparation.
I have the power to be, with the highest respect,
Sir,
Your most Obedient, Humble Servant,
John Bowring
